Events Sponsorship

The IEEE Communications Society provides two types of event sponsorships. Below is a brief description, benefits, and the application process for each sponsorship.

Financial Sponsorship

IEEE ComSoc financially sponsors and co-sponsors over 43 conferences and workshops. The Conference VP and Directors manage our portfolio and oversees the addition of new events. If you would like to discuss financial sponsorship for your event, please send an email to kristine.chin@comsoc.org.

Benefits

  • Listed on the IEEE ComSoc Conferences & Workshops page.
  • Listed in the IEEE Communications Magazine calendar listing.
  • Conference and CFP dates listed in the IEEE ComSoc Conference Search.
  • Call for Submission and Advance Registration dates included in the IEEE ComSoc Conferences monthly emails and announced on the ComSoc social media pages.
  • Eligible for 75% off the list price for advertisements in IEEE ComSoc Magazines – IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Communications Standard Magazine, IEEE Network, and IEEE Wireless Communications. For advertising information, please contact Mark David.
  • Selected events are eligible for IEEE ComSoc in-house marketing services.

Technical Co-Sponsorships

Available to those events which are financially sponsored by a not-for-profit organization, the technical scope of the event is within the IEEE ComSoc field of interest, and at least 3 IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee members have a direct and substantial involvement in the organization and development of the technical program. IEEE ComSoc has no financial involvement in the event. The Technical Co-sponsorship process is managed by he IEEE ComSoc Director of Conference Development.

  • Conference proceedings submitted to IEEE Xplore® as well as other Abstracting & Indexing (A&I) databases.
  • Listed in the IEEE Communications Magazine calendar listing.
  • Eligible for 40% off the list price for advertisements in IEEE ComSoc Magazines – IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Communications Standard Magazine, IEEE Network, and IEEE Wireless Communications. For advertising information, please contact Mark David.

Application Process

Prior to submitting an application, please review the TCS Policy and Process document.

Step 1  
Submit the IEEE Conference Application using the online form. Once received, IEEE MCE reviews and approves the application and send it to ComSoc for further action.

Step 2
IEEE ComSoc sends the addendum and payment collection details:

  • US$1450 non-refundable application fee
  • US$22 per paper fee, an invoice will be generated after the conference

Step 3
Please fill out the invoice form: US$1,450 non-refundable application fee.

Step 4
Upon receipt of Step 2, conference details are uploaded on the TC Review Site for the TC Chairs/Vice Chairs endorsement.

Step 5
On completion of Step 3, the duly filled addendum, payment details and TC Endorsements are presented to the Director of Conference Development for final approval.

Step 6
Once approved by Director of Conference Development, the Conference Director will sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
