About the Program

This ComSoc School Series event aims to highlight recent research achievements on topics relevant to radio waveform design for future-generation wireless communications with practical knowledge. It will offer strategies for reducing physical layer complexity and enhancing communication performance beyond 5G and 6G. It will stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences related to statistical modeling by basic programming modules via hands -on-training sessions.

The IEEE ComSoc School Series Chennai Event will be an exemplary opportunity for students to meet industry professionals and garner technical knowledge necessary to excel in this industry. Students will benefit from lectures, hands-on experiences, and a visit to a 5G testbed.

Student Applications

Participation in this event is available for a limited number of ComSoc Student Members in the Chennai region.  Membership is not required in order to apply, however if your application is accepted, you will need to become a ComSoc Student Member in order to register and attend the event.

Meals and refreshments will be provided to students during the event.  Accommodations will also be provided for a limited number of students.  All other expenses will be the responsibility of student participants.

Applications are now being accepted through 10 June 2024.  Students will be notified of application decisions by 9 July 2024 via email. If your application is accepted, you will be sent a link to register for the event.  You will need to have active ComSoc Student Membership at that time in order to register.
