In April and May, IEEE ComSoc will be offering the Advanced Topics in Wireless online course series.  A course series focusing on 5G NR, MTC, and Open RAN that is designed for engineers and technical professionals who want to enhance their knowledge on advanced topics in Wireless. Courses include:

1. 5G RAN and Core Network: Architecture, Technology Enablers and Implementation Aspects
   24-25 April 2024
2. O-RAN: Disrupting the Radio Access Network through Openness and Innovation
   8-9 May 2024
3. Machine Type Communications in 5G and Beyond
   22-23 May 2024

Each live course is delivered via Zoom and recorded for continued review during the weeks following each course session.  All who register for these courses receive a certificate of participation, are eligible to earn IEEE CEUs (continuing education units) along with which, course participants receive a PDF copy of the slides for each course.

If all three courses are completed, participants can earn a digital badge to highlight their training on social media (like LinkedIn), add it as a link on their digital resume, or embed it in their e-portfolio.  A tangible representation - Digital badges provide a distinct and transparent way to represent a learner's competence and achievements making it easier for educators and employers to evaluate a person's capabilities.
