Bruno Volckaert is a professor of advanced programming and software engineering at Ghent University and a senior researcher at IMEC. He obtained his Master of Computer Science degree in 2001, after which he worked on his Ph.D. on resource management in distributed systems, which he obtained in 2006. His current research deals with reliable and high-performance cloud-based distributed software systems, machine learning for cybersecurity applications and autonomous optimization of cloud-based and edge/fog-based applications.
