New Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Communications Magazine

Antonio Sanchez-Esguevillas

Telefonica, Spain

Antonio Sanchez-Esguevillas (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in QoS over IP networks from the University of Valladolid, Spain, in 2004. He has managed innovation at Telefonica and has been an Adjunct Professor and an Honorary Collaborator with the University of Valladolid, supervising several Ph.D. students. He has coordinated very large international research and development projects and has over 50 international publications and several patents. His current research interests include digital services and machine learning.

Each issue of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (J-SAC) is devoted to a specific technical topic and thus provides to J-SAC readers a collection of up-to-date papers on that topic. These issues are valuable to the research community and become valuable references. The technical topics covered by J-SAC issues span the entire field of communications and networking.

 

New Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Networking Letters

Christos Verikoukis

Telecommunications Technological Centre of Catalonia, Spain

Christos Verikoukis (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from UPC, Barcelona, Spain, in 2000. He is currently an Associate Professor (Tenure Track) with the University of Patras. He has authored more than 145 journal articles, 220 conference articles, three books, 14 book chapters, and five patents. He has participated in more than 30 competitive research projects, while he has supervised 19 Ph.D. students and 10 Postdoctoral researchers. He is a Member-at-Large and Vice-Chair of IEEE ComSoc GITC. He was the recipient of the the Best Paper Award at the IEEE ICC 2011 and 2020, the IEEE GLOBECOM 2014 and 2015, and the EuCNC 2016, and the EURASIP 2013 Best Paper Award of the Journal on Advances in Signal Processing.

About IEEE Networking Letters
IEEE Networking Letters publishes short papers in a rapid publication cycle on original research results derived from theoretical or experimental exploration of the area of communication/computer networking, covering various information transport networks over various physical layer technologies, both wireline and wireless, or hybrids of these. The journal focuses on the network layers above the physical layer. Topics of interest include network architecture and design, protocols, network software, network hardware, network operation and management, measurements, and network security.

 

New Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management

Hanan Lutfiyya

The University of Western Ontario, Canada

Hanan Lutfiyya (Senior Member, IEEE) is a Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Western University, Canada. Her research interests include Internet of Things, software engineering, self-adaptive and self-managing systems, autonomic computing, monitoring and diagnostics, mobile systems, policies, and clouds. She was a recipient of the UWO Faculty Scholar Award in 2006. She is a past member of the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Discovery Grant Committee, and a past member and the Chair of an NSERC Strategic Grants Committee. She was a member of the Computer Science Accreditation Council. She is currently an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, and has recently served as the General Co-Chair for the IEEE International Conference on Network and Service Management. She is currently on the board of directors for CS-Can|Info-Can.
