The IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (WCL) was launched in 2012 and is co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, the IEEE Signal Processing Society, and the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. IEEE WCL publishes timely, high-quality papers in the general field of wireless communications. The journal has a high impact factor (IF 3.096) and a fast submission-to-publication time and aims at attracting the top manuscripts in the field.

We hereby issue a call for nominations (self-nomination is permitted) for a new Editor-in-Chief for IEEE WCL. The EiC is appointed for a 2-year term, once-renewable for another 2 years. The new EiC will be appointed by 30 June 2019 and will take over full EiC responsibilities effective on 1 January  2020. The EiC is expected to continue the excellent leadership demonstrated by the current EiC, and to continue to develop the journal as a premier venue for dissemination of wireless communications research.

Requested Material for Nominations:

  • a brief IEEE-style biography (up to 200 words), including a listing of the candidate’s editorial experience;
  • a complete CV and list of publications of the candidate;
  • a brief statement from the nominator(s);
  • optionally, a statement of interest of up to 500 words stating the nominee’s vision for the journal (for self-nomination, the statement of interest should be required or as part of the self-nomination statement).

Deadline: 15 March 2019.
