Dinh C. Nguyen is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA. He worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University, USA from 2022 to 2023. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Deakin University, Australia in 2021. His research interests include federated learning, Internet of Things, wireless networking, and security. He has published over 50 papers (including over 25 first-authored papers) on top-tier IEEE/ACM conferences and journals such as IEEE JSAC, IEEE COMST, IEEE TMC, and IEEE IoTJ. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society and a Lead Guest Editor of IEEE Internet of Things Magazine on the special issue of federated learning for Industrial Internet of Things. He is a technical program chair of the 6G connectivity workshop at the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) 2024 conference. He received the Best Editor Award from IEEE Open Journal of Communications Society in 2023.
