Javan Erfanian has many years of experience in wireless industry strategy and end-to-end direction, with an active role in the vision and definition of technology generations including 4G, 5G, and now 6G. He has worked closely with global industry, alliances, ITU-R, IEEE and academia. In particular, he actively contributed to the recent ITU-R framework for IMT-2030. Javan has been an IEEE Communications Society distinguished speaker for many years. He was a recipient of the IEEE ComSoc Millennium Medal in 2000, an editor and contributor of ComSoc Wireless Engineering Book of Knowledge, and one of the initial instructors of this training program. He has authored and contributed to many publications with a great number of citations.
