Jiang (Linda) Xie received the B.E. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, the MPhil degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the MS and PhD degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, all in electrical and computer engineering. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of North Carolina, Charlotte, USA. She is a Fellow of the IEEE for “contributions to mobility and resource management of wireless networks”. Her current research interests include resource and mobility management in wireless networks, mobile computing, Internet of Things, and cloud/edge computing.

She has served on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing, IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorial, Computer Networks (Elsevier), and Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier). She has also served on the Organizing Committee of many leading ComSoc conferences, including a TPC Co-Chair of IEEE GLOBECOM 2023, the TPC Vice Chair of IEEE ICC 2016, an Area TPC Chair of IEEE INFOCOM 2016~2024, and a Symposium Co-Chair of IEEE GLOBECOM 2009, 2010, and 2012. She was also the GITC Chair and a member of the IEEE ComSoc Conference Council in 2022-2023.
