Kathiravetpillai Sivanesan is a principal engineer at Nokia. He has been representing Nokia in the 3GPP RAN1 5G and 6G standardization activities. His research interests include semantic communications, integrated sensing and communications, MIMO, AI/ML, V2X communications, and IoT, including Ambient IoT. He has more than 20 years of experience in wireless communications research. He has more than 100 issued patents, another 40+ applications pending, and more than 30 peer-reviewed publications.
