Marica Amadeo is an Assistant Professor in Telecommunications at the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria, Italy.
She has received a Laurea degree in Telecommunications Engineering (Oct. 2008) from the same University and in 2009, she worked as Junior Consultant Engineer at Value Team S.p.A., in Rome, Italy. She received a Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2013 from the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria. From September 2013 to June 2019, she has been with the same university as a Post-Doc Researcher.
Her research interests are mainly in the fields of Information Centric Networking, Vehicular Networks, and Internet of Things and Edge Computing.
She has co-authored more than 70 publications, several of which in prestigious IEEE and Elsevier Journals. She has been included in the IEEE COMSOC 2022 Top Ten N2Women Rising Stars in Networking and Communications List. She has also been ranked in the Top Two-Percent World Ranking list of Scientists in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Currently, she is Associate Editor of Elsevier Computer Communications and Frontiers in Communications and Networks. She is an Editorial Board Member of Elsevier Vehicular Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, Wiley Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, and MDPI Telecom.
She is also Guest Editor of several special issues and served many international conferences as publicity chair, track chair, and TPC member.
