Weimin Liu

Weimin Liu is an Associate Fellow at Verizon in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, USA, responsible for product innovation and strategic partnership management, covering multiple horizontal technologies and vertical applications. He received his B.S degree from Beijing Institute of Technology and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University. For over three decades, he worked on many products in the area of communication chipsets and systems, including speech, modems, ADSL, G.fast, Wi-Fi, visible light, RFID, LTE, and 5G. He held various engineering positions at Hughes, Lucent, Conexant, InterDigital, Broadcom, and Qualcomm in the past. Dr. Liu is an inventor of more than 30 granted and pending U.S. and international patents.
